The Passing Out Ceremony of the 52nd Batch of Forest Guards of the Department of Environment & Forests was held on twenty eighth February 2025, on the Forest Training Institute, Wimberlygunj. The ceremony marked the profitable completion of six months of fundamental forestry coaching for 19 newly recruited Forest Guards.
Mr. Sanjay Kumar Sinha, IFS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Chief Wildlife Warden, A&N Islands, graced the event because the Chief Guest. He inspected the Guard of Honour offered by the trainees and awarded medals and course completion certificates to the profitable candidates.
In his convocation handle, Mr. Sinha expressed his satisfaction with the completion of the 52nd Batch’s coaching and urged the brand new Forest Guards to uphold sincerity, honesty, and professionalism of their duties. He emphasised the significance of defending and conserving the Islands’ wealthy pure sources and inspired them to remain up to date with new applied sciences and developments in forestry and allied fields.
Mr. Ravi Horo, IFS, Addl. PCCF (Planning & Development), attended because the Guest of Honour. He highlighted the essential position of Forest Guards within the division and urged them to behave because the true representatives of the forest administration. He additionally harassed the significance of coordination with Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and most people for efficient forest administration.
Dr. S. Dinesh Kannan, IFS, CCF (Research & Working Plan)-cum-Chairperson of the Forest Training Institute, welcomed the gathering. The occasion noticed the presence of senior officers from the Forest Department, different governmental departments, scientific establishments, PRI members, native officers, and the households of the trainees.
During the ceremony, Mr. A. C. Tilak, Director of the Forest Training Institute, offered the course report and batch outcomes. Ms. Indu Nikhil, Forest Guard, emerged because the topper of the batch and was awarded the Gold Medal for general excellence in each theoretical and sensible periods.
