The Directorate of Industries, A&N Administration, took a big step in the direction of empowering the Onge Community by organizing a profitable Skill Development Training Program on ‘Handicrafts (Coconut Shell and Wood) products’ at Dugong Creek. The Program, held from May 22 to twenty-eight, 2023, aimed to supply important expertise and data to reinforce self-employment alternatives and sustainable livelihoods.
Under this system, 20 enthusiastic villagers participated and underwent intensive coaching to amass primary craftsmanship expertise for creating intricate handicrafts. The coaching classes have been designed to impart sensible data and strategies, enabling the trainees to discover new avenues of financial development.
