The Directorate of Disaster Management has issued heavy rainfall warning in some locations in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on November 15-16.
All the floating, aviation and ashore models of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Indian Coast Guard (ICG), the Navy had been mobilised and placed on excessive alert, it mentioned, including that these property have been deployed in Andaman sea.
Though the alert has been issued for the following 5 days from Sunday however on November 15 and 16, the rainfall is prone to create havoc in some components of the archipelago together with, Port Blair, Campbell Bay, Kamorta and Diglipur, the division mentioned.
“Due to squally weather, wind speed exceeding 45 kmph is likely to prevail over the Andaman Sea. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea in the coming few days,” an announcement issued by the Directorate of Disaster Management mentioned.
Meanwhile, vacationers had been requested to remain indoors and requested to not enterprise into the ocean for journey sports activities at Corbyn’s Cove, Swaraj, Elephanta, Collinpur seashores, Shaheed Dweep and Wandoor and so forth.
Flight companies from Kolkata, Delhi, Visakhapatnam and Chennai to Port Blair could also be affected because of the tough climate and passengers are suggested to make a previous enquiry earlier than making their journey preparations, the assertion mentioned.
