USC Trojans star JuJu Watkins has achieved one other milestone in her excellent debut season in school basketball.
The 18-year-old phenom has formally damaged the NCAA ladies’s school basketball freshman scoring file.
Watkins surpassed the earlier file holder, former San Diego State ahead Tina Hutchinson, who scored 898 factors through the 1983-84 season.
Hutchinson’s file stood 40 years earlier than Watkins overtook it, getting into her newest sport with 891 factors.

USC Trojans fall to UConn Huskies in Elite Eight
Despite Watkins’ historic night time, the top-seeded Trojans had been unable to beat the No. 3 Huskies, finally falling quick with a rating of 80-73.
“It’s definitely an honor. I mean, of course, like I said, not really the terms I would like to end on. On my season, I mean, I’m just blessed,” Watkins mentioned on passing Hutchinson in a shedding effort.
Watkins concluded the sport with 29 factors, achieved on 9-of-25 taking pictures from the sphere and 2-of-6 from past the arc. She formally ended her freshman season with 920 factors.
