The Washington Commanders don’t have any placekickers on their roster following their newest transfer.
The workforce has determined to launch Brandon McManus following an alleged sexual assault case that grew to become public late final month.
Washington made the transfer official on Sunday, June 2, per league insider Adam Schefter on ESPN.
“We take allegations of this nature very seriously and are looking into the matter. We have been in communication with the League Office and Brandon’s representation, and will reserve further comment at this time,” the franchise initially stated in an announcement.

The Commanders will stick with it their organized workforce actions on Monday, June 3, with none kickers of their roster.
Brandon McManus simply signed a multi-million cope with the Commanders
McManus spent the 2023 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, throughout which the sexual assault incident occurred throughout a workforce flight whereas they had been en path to London for the league’s worldwide video games in late September 2023.
After his deal in Jacksonville expired, the 32-year-old inked a one-year contract valued at $3.6 million with the Commanders in March 2024.
This settlement features a $1.5 million signing bonus, though the destiny of that quantity stays unsure following the controversy he’s dealing with. The bonus is the one assured cash on his pact.
He beforehand spent the vast majority of his profession with the Denver Broncos from 2014 to 2022.
