The XXVI Vice President of India Cup Soccer Championship 2024-25 concluded with a grand closing ceremony at BJR Stadium, Tamaloo, Car Nicobar, on February 17, 2025. The prestigious occasion was graced by Mr. Amit Kale, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District, because the chief visitor.
Mr. Lionald Nicomede, Chairman, Tribal Council, Car Nicobar, attended because the visitor of honour, alongside different dignitaries, together with Mr. Muneer Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner (HQ), Car Nicobar; Mr. Solomon Samuel, Deputy Superintendent of Police; and Rt. Rev. Thomas Nathan, Bishop, A&N Diocese.
The match noticed intense competitors, with A&N Command rising because the champion, securing the winner’s trophy and a money prize of ₹50,000. Sri Vijaya Puram claimed the runner-up title, receiving ₹35,000 and a trophy, whereas Nancowrie Team completed because the second runner-up, bagging ₹25,000 together with a trophy.
Individual accolades have been additionally introduced through the ceremony:
- Best Goalkeeper: Manoranjan Toppo (A&N Command) – ₹5,000 & trophy
- Best Emerging Player: Ronaldo (Car Nicobar) – ₹5,000 & trophy
- Highest Scorer: Nikhileon Francis (Sri Vijaya Puram) – ₹5,000 (scored 4 targets)
- Best Disciplined Team: Campbell Bay – Trophy
The Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District, handed over the trophies and prizes to the winners, marking a profitable conclusion to the soccer championship.
