In an effort to advertise sustainable livestock farming and enhance rural livelihoods, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AH&VS) performed a two-day coaching programme on fodder cultivation on July 22 and 23, 2025, on the Veterinary Dispensary in Kadamtala. The coaching was held underneath the centrally sponsored UTATMA scheme.
The programme was led by Dr. Nazarna Sen Gupta, Senior Veterinary Officer (SVO), Kadamtala, and aimed toward equipping native farmers with the information and expertise required for sustainable and high-yield fodder manufacturing to boost livestock productiveness.
The coaching was attended by native representatives, together with the Pradhan of Kadamtala and a Ward Member, who underscored the significance of fodder cultivation in enhancing animal diet and strengthening the agricultural financial system.
Over the course of two days, farmers had been skilled in key elements of fodder cultivation, together with soil preparation, seed choice, irrigation, and crop administration.
