On the event of International Literacy Day, Rotary Club Nextgen Port Blair took a major step in the direction of empowering younger ladies by sponsoring the schooling of 12 college students from Balika Niketan, a house for underprivileged ladies in Port Blair. The membership lined the college charges of 11 ladies and the faculty payment of 1 pupil.
The formal handover ceremony was held at Balika Niketan, the place Club President Rtn. Mandeep Grewal, accompanied by fellow membership members, personally handed over the monetary help to the establishment’s in-charge and group. The gesture underscores the membership’s dedication to selling literacy and offering equal academic alternatives, notably for the woman youngster.
Speaking on the event, President Mandeep Grewal stated, “Education is the most powerful tool we can provide to shape a better future. On International Literacy Day, Rotary Club Nextgen is proud to support these bright young minds in their journey towards academic and personal success.”
The initiative aligns with Rotary International’s deal with Basic Education and Literacy and displays Rotary Club Nextgen Port Blair’s continued efforts to make a long-lasting affect on the group’s youth.
The occasion was attended by membership members, Balika Niketan employees, and the scholars, who expressed their gratitude and shared their aspirations for the longer term.
