Mammootty WINS greatest actor for…; greatest movie goes to…; examine full winners record

The fifty fifth Kerala State Film Awards have been introduced on November 3. Veteran actor Mammootty gained the Best Actor award for his movie Brahmayugam, whereas the Best Film of 2024 was awarded to the superhit movie Manjummel Boys. These awards have been introduced by Kerala’s Minister of Fisheries, Culture, and Youth Affairs, Saji Cherian, at a press convention in Thrissur. Both movies—Brahmayugam and Manjummel Boys—made a mark this 12 months, profitable awards in a number of classes.

This 12 months’s jury was chaired by veteran actor Prakash Raj. The seven-member jury, led by him, chosen one of the best movies from 128 movies produced in 2024. Of these, 26 have been chosen for the ultimate spherical. Female performers additionally featured prominently within the awards. Shamala Hamza gained the Best Actress award for her movie Feminichi Fathima. Meanwhile, Chidambaram S. Poduval, director of Manjummel Boys, was declared Best Director.

Soubin Shahir (Manjummel Boys) and Siddharth Bharathan (Bramayugam) shared the Best Supporting Actor award, whereas Lijomol Jose gained Best Supporting Actress for Nadanna Sambhavam. Tovino Thomas (ARM) and Asif Ali (Kishkindha Kaandam) obtained the Special Jury Award (Male), whereas Jyothiramayi (Bougainvillea) and Darshan Rajendran (Paradise) obtained the Special Jury Award (Female). “Feminichi Fathima” was awarded Best Second Film, and its director, Faasil Mohammed, was awarded Best Debut Director.

Other main winners included Premalu for Best Popular Film, Prasanna Vithanage for Paradise for Best Story, and Sushin Shyam for Bougainvillea for Best Music Director. In the technical classes, Manjummel Boys gained a number of awards for cinematography, sound design, and manufacturing design. Brahmayugam was honored for its background rating. These awards show that Kerala cinema continues to achieve new heights. The winners are congratulated for his or her excellent work.
