Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya (JNRM) noticed World Tourism Day 2026 with a beach-cleaning drive and a seminar specializing in accountable and sustainable tourism.
As a part of the observance, school members and college students participated in a cleanliness drive at Marina Park Beach on Sunday. The contributors collected plastic and different waste from the seashore, which was subsequently handed over to the Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council (SVPMC) for correct disposal.
The Department of BBA Tourism organised a seminar on Monday, with professionals from the tourism business and Forest Department taking part within the programme.
Dr. Pearl Devdas, Principal, JNRM, delivered the keynote handle and spoke about hospitality and the position of know-how in enhancing visitor providers.
The programme commenced with a welcome handle by Dr. Seemanta Kumar Deka, Head of the Department of BBA Tourism. Dr. P. Abdul Salam proposed the vote of thanks, bringing the programme to an in depth.
