World Cerebral Palsy Day 2026 was noticed in Nancowrie Block by way of an consciousness programme organised at Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Champin, on October 5, underneath the Inclusive Education part of Samagra Shiksha.
The programme was organised by the Block Project Office (Samagra Shiksha), Nancowrie Block, as per the instructions of the State Project Officer (SS), Shiksha Sadan.
World Cerebral Palsy Day is noticed yearly on October 6 to create consciousness about cerebral palsy and promote the attention, inclusion and empowerment of individuals with cerebral palsy.
A complete of 28 individuals, together with 10 lecturers and 18 college students, amongst them Children with Special Needs (CwSN) college students, participated within the programme.
Ms. V. Bindu, Vice Principal, GSSS Champin, attended the programme because the Chief Guest. The programme targeted on creating consciousness about cerebral palsy, selling inclusion and inspiring equal alternatives and participation for individuals with disabilities.
As a part of the programme, a poster-making competitors was additionally organised for college students. Prizes had been distributed to the individuals to encourage their energetic participation and creativity.
Mr. Kushal Roy, Special Educator, and Mr. Naveen Singh served as Resource Persons and addressed the individuals on the significance of consciousness, inclusion and empowerment of individuals with cerebral palsy.
The programme concluded with a message highlighting the necessity for an inclusive, accessible and supportive setting for individuals with cerebral palsy and different disabilities in Nancowrie Block.
