Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accompanied by a delegation from the Andaman & Nicobar Rajya Karamchari Maha Sangh, led by its President Mr. Jaydeep Kumar Dey, met with Mr. Tej Bahadur, Chief Engineer of the Andaman Public Works Department (APWD). The assembly targeted on discussing numerous points regarding Daily Rated Mazdoors (DRM) and common staff of APWD.
One of the first points raised through the assembly was the priority relating to the left-out DRMs who had not obtained the advantages of 1/thirtieth pay. The delegation urged the Chief Engineer to make sure that all working DRMs of APWD obtain the entitled advantages.
