The President of the Andaman and Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC), Mr. Rangalal Halder, and the Chairman of the Campaign Committee, ANTCC, Mr. TSG Bhasker, led a gathering alongside Tribal Chairpersons, Tribal Captains, and Block President of Kamorta. The gathering introduced collectively distinguished leaders, together with Chief Captains from areas like Pilpillow, Champin, Kakana, and several other others.
The assembly, held in Kamorta, served as a platform for discussions on numerous urgent points affecting the area people. Among the important thing subjects mentioned have been the provision of water, the deteriorating situation of roads, the scarcity of academics in native colleges, the necessity to fill vacant positions below the Tribal Quota with eligible tribal youths, the absence of a mortuary van, and the need of specialist medical doctors’ visits to Kamorta.
One of the foremost issues voiced in the course of the assembly was the long-standing challenge of unfilled positions below the Tribal Quota. The tribal leaders expressed their apprehension in regards to the rising variety of educated tribal youths heading down the improper path resulting from restricted employment alternatives.
Mr. Rangalal Halder, the ANTCC President, emphasised the urgency of addressing these points. He requested the Administration of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to take fast motion in filling all vacant positions below the Tribal Quota, thereby creating employment alternatives for the native tribal inhabitants.
