The Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, has launched a nationwide particular marketing campaign from August 25 to September 5, 2025, geared toward registering platform and unorganised employees to increase seamless entry to social safety advantages.
As a part of this initiative, the Labour Department of the A&N Administration carried out awareness-cum-spot registration drives on August 30, September 1, and September 3 at Prothrapur, Mohanpura, and Gram Panchayat Kanyapuram respectively. A complete of 182 unorganised employees had been efficiently registered on the e-Shram portal throughout the marketing campaign.
The Labour Department has urged all left-out platform and unorganised employees within the Islands to register themselves on the e-Shram portal via the official hyperlink: https://register.eshram.gov.in/#/consumer/platform-workers-registration. Workers unable to finish registration on-line could go to the Labour Department workplace at Supply Line, Sri Vijaya Puram, on any working day for help.
