A Block Level Training Programme on the “Role of Gram Panchayats in Ensuring Good Health, Well-being, and Preventing Diseases and Awareness on Mental and Physical Health” was organised on the CMTC Building, Ferrargunj, by the Block Development Office below the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA).
The coaching aimed to reinforce the capability of Gram Panchayats and well being functionaries in selling well being, hygiene, and illness prevention on the grassroots degree. It witnessed the participation of 86 attendees, together with Pradhans, Panchayat Secretaries, ANMs, Anganwadi Workers, and members of Gram Panchayat Health and Sanitation Committees.
In her inaugural tackle, Ms. Saakshi Saha, BPM, Ferrargunj, outlined the aims of the programme and underscored the proactive function of Gram Panchayats in elevating consciousness on psychological and bodily well-being. Miss C. Vijaya, Domain Expert (Women Empowerment), carried out an introductory session highlighting key features of the theme, whereas Mr. Madan Singh, Health Educator, AAM Ferrargunj, spoke on preventive healthcare and the significance of behavioural change in communities.
An interactive exercise session was led by Ms. Fathima Zohra, Public Health Nurse. Ms. Lalita Tigga, BDO, Ferrargunj, addressed the members and distributed prizes to the winners of varied actions. Ms. Kakoli Ghosh (Panchayat Secretary, Wandoor) secured the primary prize, Ms. Grace Toppo (ANM, AAM Ferrargunj) bagged the second prize, and Mr. Mohd. Jabir (PS, Ferrargunj and Brindaban) acquired the third prize.
