A block-level coaching programme titled ‘Fostering Progressive Rural Entrepreneurship and Poverty Alleviation in Rural Areas’ was held on the CMTC Building, Ferrargunj, on 16 October. The occasion noticed lively participation from elected Women Representatives, Community Resource Persons, and members of assorted Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
Addressing the contributors, Ms. Lalita Tigga, Block Development Officer, Ferrargunj, highlighted the significance of native management in driving sustainable improvement in rural communities.
The programme additionally featured talks by specialists together with Dr. Pooja Kapoor, Subject Matter Specialist, ICAR-CIARI; Ms. Deepa Biswas, DE (Livelihood); and Mr. Rakesh Pangat, Deputy General Manager, NABARD, who shared insights on rural entrepreneurship and livelihood era.
To reinforce key learnings, a quiz competitors was performed by Ms. Saakshi Saha, Block Programme Manager, with prizes awarded to the profitable teams.
The initiative aimed to empower rural girls and SHG members with information and abilities to boost entrepreneurship and promote poverty alleviation of their communities.
