The Cleveland Cavaliers are ramping up their hunt for a brand new head coach following the departure of J.B. Bickerstaff. This got here after they have been eradicated from the 2024 NBA playoffs within the second spherical by the Boston Celtics.

Cleveland has included two further names, New York Knicks affiliate head coach Johnnie Bryant and Miami Heat’s high assistant coach Chris Quinn, amongst these they plan to interview.

Cavaliers’ different head teaching candidates
The Cavaliers have beforehand obtained clearance to interview Golden State Warriors assistant coach Kenny Atkinson and New Orleans Pelicans assistant coach James Borrego, as reported by ESPN.
Atkinson is the one candidate with head teaching expertise, having led the Brooklyn Nets from 2016 to 2020.
Meanwhile, Borrego has served as an assistant below Gregg Popovich with the San Antonio Spurs, subsequently spending time on the workers of the New Orleans Hornets and Orlando Magic, a second stint with the Spurs and Charlotte Hornets, and his present function with the Pelicans. He was briefly the interim head coach of the Magic in 2015.
