In a powerful push to boost consciousness about HIV/AIDS, the Community Health Centre (CHC) Nancowry efficiently organized a rally as a part of the 2nd Round of the Intensified IEC Campaign (IIC) 2025. The marketing campaign, directed by the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, coincided with International Youth Day.
The rally was led by Dr. Lt. Col. Nirmal Kumar Bajpai, Medical Officer In-Charge of CHC Nancowry, and initiated by Mohammed Hassan, Lab Technician at ICTC Nancowry. It noticed enthusiastic participation from the Indian Coast Guard, CHC workers, native police personnel, and Anganwadi staff.
The initiative centered on spreading consciousness about HIV/AIDS, together with modes of transmission, preventive measures, and the significance of standard testing. It additionally aimed to deal with stigma and discrimination towards individuals dwelling with HIV, whereas selling literacy on the HIV and AIDS (Prevention & Control) Act, 2017. The marketing campaign additional emphasised creating demand for testing and STI companies and fostering inter-departmental collaboration to struggle HIV/AIDS.
