The Communist Party of India (Marxist) Andaman & Nicobar State Organising Committee noticed the primary demise anniversary of veteran Communist chief and former CPI(M) General Secretary, Comrade Sitaram Yechury, with a remembrance assembly at Shaheed Bhavan, Anarkali.
Speaking on the event, D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI(M) A&N State Organising Committee, highlighted Yechury’s pivotal function in strengthening the celebration and his uncompromising wrestle in opposition to communal forces. He recalled that Com. Sitaram devoted his whole life to the reason for the folks, particularly the working class.
Senior chief P. Banerjee mirrored on the worldwide rise of socialist nations through the Nineteen Seventies and Eighties and its affect on younger leaders like Yechury. B. Chandrachoodan, State Secretariat Member, urged celebration cadres to emulate Yechury’s life and dedication, particularly at a time when communal forces are trying to divide the nation.
Presiding over the assembly, D. Laxman Rao, State Secretariat Member, described Yechury as a real Communist who relentlessly opposed communalism and authoritarianism. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by SP Kalairajan, SOC Member.
The remembrance gathering witnessed the participation of a lot of celebration employees and sympathizers.
