NFL commerce rumors are rising because the commerce deadline looms in just some hours. The Dallas Cowboys are not any exception because the workforce can be rumored to be pursuing just a few necessary items to revamp its protection.
Cowboys Trade Rumors Heat Up Ahead of Deadline
With head coach Brian Schottenheimer within the first 12 months of his present tenure, the Cowboys look to strengthen their lineup in pursuit of a deep postseason push. According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Dallas has engaged with a number of groups in commerce discussions, concentrating on a number of high-impact defensive gamers.
“My understanding is the #Cowboys have spoken to the Bengals on DE Trey Hendrickson and LB Logan Wilson, and to the Dolphins on OLB Bradley Chubb. They’ve had talks with other teams as well.

If these talks result in motion, the Cowboys may add severe defensive energy simply in time for the season’s second half.
Bengals’ Defensive Anchor in Sights of Cowboys
Linebacker Logan Wilson has been some of the constant performers for Cincinnati since being chosen sixty fifth general within the 2020 NFL Draft. Measuring 6’2″ and weighing 245 pounds, Wilson has totaled 541 tackles in 76 games, displaying high reliability and tackling efficiency.
Of course, with the Bengals’ defense currently among the league’s worst, according to PFSN’s Defense Impact metric, Wilson could be a valuable trade chip. He’s currently listed as questionable with a calf injury, but that hasn’t stopped Dallas from expressing interest in bringing his leadership and physicality to their linebacker corps.
Proven Pass Rusher on Dallas’ Radar
According to Pro Football Network, the other big target for the Cowboys from the Bengals is defensive end Trey Hendrickson. The 30-year-old FAU alum was originally drafted in 2017 by the New Orleans Saints and has totaled 81 career sacks and 15 forced fumbles. Although a hip injury kept him out of the Bengals’ most recent loss to Chicago, Hendrickson’s skill as an explosive pass-rusher makes him a perfect fit for Dallas’ defensive front.
Adding Trey Hendrickson would bolster the Cowboys’ edge attack, providing more pressure and depth alongside Micah Parsons.
Cowboys in for Miami’s Star Linebacker
The Cowboys are not the only team chasing Miami Dolphins’ linebacker Bradley Chubb, but they are reportedly one of the most aggressive suitors. A fifth overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Chubb brings elite experience and athleticism. Currently, he has four sacks this season and a manageable $1.25 million base salary.
Trading him ahead of the deadline would cost Miami a staggering $23.858 million in dead money next year, but in Dallas, Chubb could be that missing piece in an already dangerous defense.
