West Bengal topped the listing with 160 instances whereas Uttar Pradesh with 115 instances ranked second and Odisha with 35 instances remained on the third spot within the listing. These states have been adopted by Madhya Pradesh with 34 acid assault instances, Bihar with 30, Punjab with 29, Gujarat with 27, Kerala with 27, and Delhi with 23 instances throughout these three years.
States like Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Sikkim have registered no instances of acid assault within the yr between 2018 and 2020, revealed the Crime in India sources.
