The Deputy Education Office, Wimberlygunj, efficiently organized the much-anticipated ‘Run with Nature’ Marathon on Saturday, drawing over 200 enthusiastic individuals. The occasion featured a ten km run for males, a 5 km run for girls, and a 4 km Walkathon specifically designed for senior residents, all beginning and concluding at Chunnabatta–North Bay–Chunnabatta.
The marathon was formally flagged off by Mr. Vikram Singh, Director (Education/Sports), who later offered money awards and trophies to the winners of the boys’s class. Awards for the ladies’s class have been distributed by Dr. Shweta, accompanied by Mrs. Rasheeda, Pradhan of GP Hopetown, and Ms. Mariyam Bibi, Zilla Parishad Member. Meanwhile, Mr. Niti Bhardwaj, Assistant Branch Manager, SBI, and Dr. Manoharan, DEO of Wimberlygunj, honoured the winners of the senior residents’ class.
Special recognition was additionally given to the participant with Children With Special Needs (CWSN) and to the youngest participant who accomplished the marathon, highlighting the occasion’s inclusive spirit.
