Mr. Dharmender Narayan, Councillor Ward No. 17 has been elected because the Senior Vice Chairperson of Port Blair Municipal Council. Mr. Padmanabham, Councillor Ward No. 15 has been elected because the Junior Vice Chairperson of PBMC.
Both Mr. Dharmender Narayan and Mr. Padmanabham are councillors elected on Bharatiya Janata Party ticket.
Earlier, Mrs. Selvi, Councillor Ward No. 5 was elected because the Chairperson of Port Blair Municipal Council.
BJP leaders have congratulated Mr. Dharmender Narayan for being elected because the Senior Vice Chairperson, PBMC and Mr. Padmanabham for being elected because the Junior Vice Chairperson, PBMC.
