Fisheries Dept. to Maintain Training on Freshwater Fish Breeding & Seed Production

The Fisheries Training Centre, Marine Hill, below the Department of Fisheries, will organise a three-day coaching programme on Freshwater Fish Breeding and Seed Production within the final week of August 2025. The initiative is being performed with monetary help from the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), Hyderabad, below the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY).

The programme will cowl broodstock administration (choice and upkeep of fish), hatchery administration, seed rearing, water high quality administration, and fish well being administration. A complete of 25 members will probably be chosen, and the division will present post-training steerage to assist them take up business ventures below the PMMSY scheme.

Applications within the prescribed format have been invited from fishers, fish farmers, self-help teams, entrepreneurs, tribals, and unemployed youth. Selected trainees will obtain each day and journey allowances as per NFDB norms, together with lunch and refreshments through the programme.
