The Secretary (Registrar of Cooperative Society), A&N Administration, Mr. Rajesh Goyal and Director of Fisheries, Mr. Piyush Vijay Karan Singh visited Diglipur from eleventh February 2023 to thirteenth February 2023. The officers throughout their go to interacted with most of the people, members of Business Community and marine fishermen to debate varied points associated to cooperative societies, growth of fisheries sector and many others.
The Secretary, Registrar of Cooperative Society emphasised on growth of fisheries sector by Cooperative Societies, as a way to generate employment amongst weaker sections of the society. In a particular interplay held at FLC Durgapur on twelfth February 2023, the Secretary, RCS and Director of Fisheries appraised the stakeholders on significance of Cooperative Societies in bringing significant modifications for the marine fishing neighborhood.
The Director of Fisheries directed the Officials of Fisheries Department to encourage and educate fisherman, fish farmers to avail the advantages of schemes like PMMSY, UT Schemes by Cooperative Societies.
