The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying (MoFAHD), Government of India, has prolonged the deadline for submission of feedback and ideas on its draft proposals regarding sustainable fisheries administration.
The two draft proposals—Guidelines for Sustainable Harnessing of Fisheries within the High Seas by Indian-Flagged Fishing Vessels, 2025 and Proposal for Sustainable Harnessing of Fisheries within the Exclusive Economic Zone of India Rules, 2025—had been initially launched for public session by way of notices dated July 31 and August 1, 2025.
The final date for stakeholders and the general public to share their suggestions has now been prolonged to September 15, 2025. Suggestions could also be despatched by e-mail in MS-Word format to jsfy@nic.in.
