Almost two weeks after asking the court docket to dismiss the lawsuit in opposition to him involving his altercation with a teen in Tennessee, Ja Morant’s camp now offers with the arrest warrant launched for his affiliate and finest buddy Davonte Pack in regards to the incident in 2022.
The Shelby County felony justice portal confirmed that Pack was current in his home throughout the altercation between complainant Joshua Holloway and Morant.
According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, the affiliate of the NBA star is charged with misdemeanor assault with intent to do bodily hurt. He is recognized because the one who punched Holloway; an allegation beforehand pointed in the direction of Morant, which he has since denied it.

“The SCDAG Office will proceed to prosecute this case as we would any simple assault,” the workplace said.

Morant’s camp insisted on a June 29 affidavit that he didn’t punch the teenager and acted in self-defense.

Using Tennessee legal guidelines, his camp mentioned Morant was “in a place where he has a right to be and is not in the process of committing a crime,”; subsequently, he was making an attempt to defend himself.
