An Inclusive Sports Meet for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) was organized by the Block Project Office, Car Nicobar, beneath the Inclusive Education Programme of Samagra Shiksha on November 3 and 4 at BJR Stadium, Car Nicobar.
The two-day occasion commenced with an inclusive parade by college students, adopted by a vibrant cultural programme. Dr. Baljeet Kaur, SVO, graced the opening ceremony because the chief visitor and declared the meet open. A complete of 20 college students participated in varied sporting occasions designed to advertise inclusivity and encourage sporting spirit amongst youngsters with particular wants.
During the inaugural operate, 17 winners had been felicitated with medals and certificates by the chief visitor and the visitor of honour, First Captain of Perka Village, Mr. Paul David. The Block Project Officer, Car Nicobar, Mr. Swapan Paik, welcomed the gathering.
The closing ceremony noticed Mr. Shambhu Nath Kundu, Assistant Engineer, ALHW, because the chief visitor, and First Captain of Tamaloo Village, Mr. Paul Benjamin, because the visitor of honour. On the event, 37 winners had been awarded medals and certificates, marking the profitable conclusion of the Inclusive Sports Meet.
