India is eager on expediting commerce and tourism with Indonesia, particularly in Andaman and Nicobar Islands due to its much less distance from many of the ports in India.
Indonesia’s Sabang port in Aceh is round 90 nautical miles from Andaman and Nicobar Islands. From Port Blair, the gap from Chennai and Kolkata is 794 nautical miles and 901 nautical miles respectively.
