India-Indonesia Investment And Business Forum Assembly Held In Port Blair

A gathering of the Joint Task Force Committee of ‘India-Indonesia Investment and Business Forum’ to establish new areas of cooperation, develop infrastructure, tourism, commerce and connectivity to boost enterprise relations was held in Port Blair on Tuesday, officers stated.

    

India is eager on expediting commerce and tourism with Indonesia, particularly in Andaman and Nicobar Islands due to its much less distance from many of the ports in India.

    

Indonesia’s Sabang port in Aceh is round 90 nautical miles from Andaman and Nicobar Islands. From Port Blair, the gap from Chennai and Kolkata is 794 nautical miles and 901 nautical miles respectively.
