After the primary Test of the Indian vs Bangladesh in Chennai, the motion now shifts to Kanpur. India can be aiming for a clear sweep within the two-match collection on the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The venue is internet hosting its first worldwide cricket match after 2021. However, based on a report in The Indian Express, the Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) has deemed one of many stands within the stadium as harmful. According to the report, the federal government officers has given the decision that the construction might collapse if the stand is as much as full capability.
“The PWD has raised some issues and we have agreed that we will not sell all the tickets of Balcony C,” UPCA CEO Ankit Chatterjee informed the paper.
“We have been informed to promote solely 1700 tickets for the stand, which has a capability of 4,800. The restore work will proceed for the following couple of days.”
The situation is so dire that a group of engineers spent considerable time at the Balcony C stand and warned the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) to close it during match.
“This stand will not have the ability to take the load of even 50 followers, if they begin leaping after Rishabh Pant hits a six. This a part of the stadium is in dire want of restore,” the report quoted a PWD engineer.
