To inculcate the spirit of patriotism and unity among the many faculty college students, the Department of School Education and Literacy, MoE, GOI is organising Inter-School Band Competition (ISBC) all through India. As a part of this, the State Level Inter School Band Competition was organised by Samagra Shiksha, UT Mission A & N Islands on twenty fifth November 2022, at Govt. Boys’ Sr. Sec. School to pick the very best faculty band each underneath the Boys and Girls classes.
Altogether 4 groups within the Boys and three groups within the Girls classes participated within the competitors. The competitors was judged by eminent Band masters from the Navy, Army and Police Departments. In the boys’ band troop, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Port Blair stood first and Govt. Boys Sr. Sec. School, Port Blair and Nirmala Sr. Secondary School, Port Blair stood second and third respectively. In the Girls’ band troop, Govt. Girls Sr. Secondary School, Port Blair stood first and Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Port Blair and VKZPV, Port Mourt stood second and third respectively.
The Deputy Education Officer, Wimberlygunj, Mr. Gyansheel Dubey was the Chief Guest, he appreciated the inventive endeavours of the scholars and congratulated the winners of the competitors and prolonged greatest needs to the winners. He gave away the profitable trophies together with the money prize.
