Mr. T.S.G. Bhasker, National Vice-President of the INTUC Federation and President of the Forest Labour Union, held a vital assembly immediately with the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF), Forest Department, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, to deal with key considerations associated to the welfare of staff on the Chatham Saw Mill.
He was accompanied by workplace bearers of the Works Committee, Mill Division Chatham, together with representatives of the INTUC Federation. At the outset, members of the Works Committee prolonged a heat gesture by presenting a bouquet to the PCCF.
During the assembly, Mr. Bhasker submitted a letter outlining a constitution of calls for and engaged in discussions regarding the challenges and welfare points confronted by mill staff. He emphasised the necessity for immediate redressal of longstanding grievances to make sure higher working situations and honest therapy of the workforce.
The PCCF acknowledged the considerations raised and warranted the delegation that acceptable measures can be initiated on the earliest to deal with the problems highlighted in the course of the interplay.
