ICAR–Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Nimbudera, organized a three-day coaching programme on “Modern Agricultural Techniques for Paddy Cultivation” from August 21 to 23 at Samiti Hall, Rangat, with the target of equipping native farmers with superior data and sensible expertise to reinforce paddy productiveness beneath island circumstances.
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Balamurugan, Pradhan of Parnasala Panchayat, who urged farmers to undertake scientific and sustainable practices to extend yield and profitability.
Dr. V. Damodaran, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK Nimbudera, underscored the importance of paddy cultivation for meals safety and livelihoods within the islands. He confused that fashionable scientific practices can assist farmers deal with challenges posed by restricted assets and unpredictable local weather.
Speaking on the event, Assistant Director of Agriculture, Ms. Shirley Thomas, briefed contributors on numerous authorities schemes, with particular deal with the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), highlighting its position in offering monetary safety in opposition to crop losses.
