Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Vice-Chairman of the Islands Development Agency, led the islanders in paying wealthy tributes to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on the event of his 134th beginning anniversary on 14th April 2025.
A solemn ceremony was held on the statue of Dr. Ambedkar, positioned close to the principle entrance of the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Auditorium at SVP Marine Complex. The Lt. Governor supplied floral tributes to the architect of the Indian Constitution, commemorating his immense contribution to the nation.
The Hon’ble Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Chief Secretary Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, together with senior officers of the A&N Administration and members of most people, additionally paid floral tributes on the event.
The occasion mirrored the islanders’ deep respect and admiration for Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy and his enduring impression on Indian society.
