The Pradesh Mahila Congress, underneath the management of its newly appointed State President, Ms. Zubaida Begum, efficiently organised the ‘Mahila Sammelan’ at Gandhi Bhawan, Sri Vijaya Puram, on March 1, 2025. The occasion was attended by a number of senior leaders, together with Ms. Alka Lamba, National President of Mahila Congress and former MLA from Delhi, Ms. Shafia Zubair, former MLA from Rajasthan, Mr. Rangalal Halder, President of the Andaman and Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC), and Mr. TSG Bhasker, Chairman of the Campaign Committee, ANTCC.
During the Sammelan, Ms. Zubaida Begum took the oath of workplace within the presence of the distinguished friends and over 200 girls attendees. She reaffirmed her dedication to empowering girls and strengthening the organisation within the area.
Addressing the gathering, Ms. Alka Lamba highlighted the very important function of ladies in politics and society. She urged Mahila Congress members to actively work towards gender equality and grassroots empowerment.
Ms. Zubaida Begum, in her speech, underscored the significance of ladies’s participation in governance and policymaking, emphasising the necessity for larger illustration of ladies in management roles.
A major spotlight of the occasion was the inauguration of the brand new Mahila Congress workplace at Gandhi Bhawan by Ms. Alka Lamba. The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the start of a brand new chapter for the social gathering’s girls’s wing. This was adopted by a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony, symbolising unity, progress, and the collective aspirations of Mahila Congress members.
