In a bid to advertise holistic rural growth, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has adopted three Gram Panchayats underneath the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY). The chosen Gram Panchayats are Collinpur Gram Panchayat in South Andaman District, Shibpur Gram Panchayat in North & Middle Andaman District, and Arong Village in Nicobar District.
The adoption of those villages goals to rework them into mannequin villages by enhancing infrastructure, enhancing important companies, and making certain sustainable growth. Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray emphasised that the initiative seeks to uplift rural communities and set up self-sufficient villages that may function benchmarks for growth throughout the Union Territory.
Under the SAGY framework, the adopted villages will witness enhancements in key sectors reminiscent of training, healthcare, talent growth, and livelihood alternatives. The initiative additionally goals to empower native communities by encouraging participation in decision-making and fostering a spirit of self-reliance.
To guarantee easy implementation, the MP has urged the involved authorities to take essential steps according to SAGY pointers and prioritise the developmental actions in these villages.
By adopting these three Gram Panchayats, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray hopes to create replicable fashions of sustainable growth, paving the best way for broader progress throughout the islands.
