MP Bishnu Pada Ray Meets Civil Aviation Minister; Seeks Expedited Motion on Pending Aviation Points

Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, referred to as on Mr. Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, Hon’ble Union Minister of Civil Aviation, in New Delhi on 4 December 2025 to press for expedited motion on key civil aviation issues affecting the island residents.

1. Introduction of a direct flight between Sri Vijayapuram (Port Blair) and Madurai to enhance regional connectivity, tourism, and medical journey.
2. Regulation of hovering airfares on routes connecting Sri Vijaya Puram with main mainland cities together with Kolkata, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, and Delhi, particularly throughout peak journey durations.
3. Provision of air stretcher/air ambulance companies for emergency medical evacuation of essential sufferers to mainland hospitals.
