Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, the Member of Parliament representing the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has referred to as upon the Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration to speed up the development of two ongoing hostel initiatives inside JNRM (Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya) and ANCOL (Andaman College). Mr. Sharma identified that the development of a 125-bed hostel inside the JNRM ladies’ campus is nearing completion at roughly 90%, whereas a 100-bed hostel inside the ANCOL campus stands at about 85% completion. Mr. Sharma expressed his concern, stating, “This delay is causing undue stress and inconvenience to our new girl students from remote islands.”

He has appealed to the Chief Secretary to expedite the finalisation and completion of each the under-construction hostels at JNRM and ANCOL on the earliest doable date.
