Self Help Groups shaped by Women beneath the DAY-NRLM scheme now have a everlasting platform to market their merchandise and produce at Car Nicobar. The District Administration has organized for Women SHGs to promote their Nicobari artefacts/handmade bamboo gadgets, naturally produced coconut oil, cane, basket, pillow cowl, Nicobari mats, and different agriculture merchandise on to prospects at Edward Kutchet Park, Car Nicobar.
District Administration’s initiative permits two or three Women Self Help Groups to arrange stalls, promote their merchandise and produce on to the purchasers each day. The initiative will enable all Women SHGs to promote their produce rotationally from Monday to Friday.
The SHGs reportedly generate greater than Rs. 9000/- each day per SHG by promoting merchandise at their stall in Edward Kutchet Park.
