The Organisation for South and South East Asia Development (OFSSEAD), in affiliation with the Directorate of Sports and the Gram Panchayat, Wimberly Gunj, efficiently organized the Open Champion’s Trophy Men’s Day & Night Football Tournament 2025 on the Mini Stadium, Wimberly Gunj.
The grand finale, held on October 18, witnessed an electrifying conflict between United Sporting Club (USC) and AB Wimberly Gunj. Displaying excellent coordination and talent, United Sporting Club dominated the match with a convincing 4–0 victory to carry the Champion’s Trophy, whereas AB Wimberly Gunj settled for the Runner-up place after a spirited combat.
Er. Prjith Rekh, Chief Engineer, APWD, graced the closing ceremony because the Chief Guest, whereas Er. Mumtaz Ali, Executive Engineer, RCD, APWD, attended because the Guest of Honour. Both dignitaries lauded OFSSEAD’s sustained efforts in selling sportsmanship and inspiring youth participation within the islands.
Addressing the gathering, Er. Prjith Rekh recommended the gamers for his or her self-discipline and enthusiasm, highlighting that sports activities play a significant function in fostering unity, resilience, and management amongst younger individuals. Echoing related views, Er. Mumtaz Ali appreciated OFSSEAD’s community-driven initiatives that deliver individuals collectively and nurture rising expertise.
