The Directorate of Education and Sports, in collaboration with the Deputy Education Office, Wimberlygunj, efficiently organized the ‘North Bay Road Marathon-2.0’ on twenty seventh July 2025. The marathon was open to most people and featured a ten km run for males and faculty boys, together with a 5 km run for girls and woman college students of the Wimberlygunj Educational Zone. The marathon route began and ended at Chunna Bhatta (Ram Mandir), protecting the scenic stretch by North Bay.
The occasion drew enthusiastic participation, with greater than 400 runners becoming a member of the race. The Director of Education and Sports, Mr. Vikram Singh, attended the occasion because the chief visitor, whereas the Assistant Commissioner of Swaraj Dweep, Mr. Sushant Padha, was current because the visitor of honour. Ms. Rasheeda, Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Hopetown, and Ms. Mariyam Bibi, Zilla Parishad Member, distributed money prizes to the winners within the ladies’s class. Mr. Devlin Dutta, Chief Manager of Canara Bank, introduced money prizes to the winners within the girls and boys classes from the Wimberlygunj Educational Zone. Canara Bank generously sponsored all of the money awards introduced throughout the occasion.
In the ten km class open to all males, Sandeep secured the primary place, adopted by N Eshwaran in second place and Vishal in third. Consolation prizes on this class have been awarded to Anil Ekka and Bala Raju. In the 5 km class open to all ladies, P Alanganal clinched first place, with Minachi coming in second and Sushma Soy securing the third spot. Consolation prizes on this class went to Nidhi Munda and Reena Lohar.
Among the boys from Wimberlygunj Educational Zone taking part within the 10 km run, Ganesh Kumar emerged because the winner, adopted by Anay Tete in second place and Hari Karan in third. A comfort prize was awarded to Okay Harshit Paul. In the 5 km class for women from the identical instructional zone, Sushmita gained the primary prize, whereas Abhinaya Shree and Harshini got here in second and third respectively. Okay Darshini acquired the comfort award on this group.
