The harvest pageant of Pongal was befittingly celebrated at Great Nicobar Island. Tamil Youth Club, Campbell Bay organised a Sports Event at Mini Stadium, Campbell Bay to rejoice Pongal.
The most important attraction through the sports activities occasion was the Open to All Kabaddi Knockout Tournament. Altogether 07 groups participated within the Kabaddi Knockout Tournament and the Fishermen Colony Team gained the match.
Various sports activities competitions similar to Frog Race, 100 Meters Sprint and many others. had been organised for kids. Rangoli Competition and Musical Chairs had been organised for ladies through the event.
Mr. Elango G, Secretary, Mr. Pandian, Treasurer and different members of the Tamil Youth Club had been actively concerned in organising the occasion.
Mrs. Rameshwari, Pradhan, GP Campbell Bay sponsored the Trophies and Prizes for the Pongal Sports Event.
Mr. E S Rajesh, Mr. R Sathalingam and Mr. Jayaraman had been the principle sponsors of the Pongal Celebrations organised by Tamil Youth Club, Campbell Bay.
