A delegation from the Ranchi Association, Port Blair, accompanied by tribal members of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, held a productive assembly with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Mr. Hemant Soren, on Friday morning. The assembly occurred on the Circuit House, South Point, Port Blair.
The delegation, led by President Mr. Febiyanus Toppo and comprising Vice-President Mr. Suman Lakra, General Secretary Adv. Prakash Minj, Secretary Mr. Sebastian Tirkey, Cashier Mr. Phool Kumar, and Joint Secretaries Mr. Sunil Minj and Mr. Anil Toppo, engaged in discussions with the Chief Minister on varied facets of growth for the Chota Nagpuri Adivasis (Ranchi Community) residing within the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The members highlighted measures aimed on the welfare and development of the Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes within the Islands.
During the assembly, a spread of subjects associated to the social, financial, political, and academic growth of the Chota Nagpuri Adivasis had been addressed. The delegation introduced up points equivalent to the supply of transit lodging for tribals on the mainland and the elevated airfares affecting the group.
Furthermore, the delegation emphasised the cultural bonds and similarities between the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and the state of Jharkhand.
Expressing satisfaction over the assembly, the Chief Minister conveyed his happiness in assembly the members of the Ranchi Association. He assured them that their calls for can be earnestly thought-about and addressed.
