The State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Sri Vijaya Puram, efficiently concluded a 10-day coaching programme on mushroom cultivation at Hope Town Panchayat on Wednesday.
The programme, organised with the assist of the Directorate of Agriculture, witnessed the energetic participation of round 35 girls members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) beneath the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM). The coaching commenced on January 30 and targeted on equipping contributors with sensible information and abilities in mushroom cultivation as a viable income-generating exercise.
Addressing the valedictory operate, Mr. P. Okay. Ummer Farooq, Chief Manager and UTLBC Lead Bank, congratulated the trainees on efficiently finishing the programme. He inspired them to utilise the talents acquired through the coaching to realize monetary independence via mushroom cultivation.
Mr. C. Raj, Director of RSETI, appreciated the passion proven by the SHG girls in studying a brand new commerce to complement their household revenue whereas managing family tasks. He highlighted the significance of such skill-based initiatives in selling self-employment and rural entrepreneurship.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Naveen Rajkumar, Faculty of the Institute.
