A tragic highway accident claimed the lifetime of a scooty rider close to the sand yard near the Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Garacharma on Tuesday night.
According to the First Information Report (FIR) registered at Pahargaon Police Station, the incident occurred at round 4:30 pm when an STS bus was travelling on the Aberdeen Bazaar–Jirkatang route. The scooty rider, who was initially from Ghaziabad, was continuing in direction of a servicing centre within the Garacharma course when the bus allegedly struck the two-wheeler from behind.
The influence brought on the rider to lose steadiness and fall onto the highway. He reportedly slipped underneath the bus and sustained deadly accidents, dying on the spot.
