The Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS), in collaboration with the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) and ICAR–Central Island Agricultural Research Institute (CIARI), organized a two-day coaching programme on “Scientific Rearing and Management of Dairy Cattle” at Indira Nagar, Gram Panchayat Humphreygunj, on August 30 and 31.
The programme aimed to boost milk manufacturing, enhance cattle well being, and promote sustainable livelihoods for dairy farmers. A complete of 37 dairy farmers participated and obtained hands-on coaching on fashionable cattle administration practices.
Expert periods have been carried out by Dr. Ajay Verma, Joint Director (AH&VS), Dr. Prakash Bala, Principal Scientist (CIARI), Dr. P. Perumal, Senior Scientist (CIARI), Dr. Subhash Palve, Senior Veterinary Officer, Livestock Farm Complex, Dollygunj, Dr. Satish Kumar, Senior Veterinary Officer, Dollygunj, Dr. Lawhale Ninad Sahebrao, Senior Veterinary Officer, Manglutan, Mr. Abdul Majeed, Senior Veterinary Compounder, and Ms. Shabana Kulsoom, Veterinary Compounder. The periods lined scientific strategies of cattle rearing, well being administration, diet, and productiveness enhancement.
Indira Nagar, with practically 236 cattle and 50 dairy farmers, contributes round 800–1000 litres of contemporary milk each day to the native financial system. The coaching is predicted to additional increase effectivity and output within the dairy sector.
