The NCAA males’s event bracket was unveiled on Sunday, March 17, with the reigning NCAA champions, the UConn Huskies, introduced because the No. 1 total seed.
This marks the first time in class historical past that the Huskies have been awarded the No. 1 total seed.
The Huskies secured the highest total seed following a historic common season, whereby they set a faculty report with 28 wins earlier than culminating with a flawless 3-0 run on the Big East Tournament.

Connecticut can also be the highest seed within the East Region and will face the No. 16 seed Stetson Hatters within the opening spherical of the 2024 NCAA Division I males’s basketball event on Friday, March 22, on the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
If UConn advances, they may await the winner between the Eighth-seed Florida Atlantic Owls and the Ninth-seed Northwestern Wildcats for the second spherical.
This season, UConn secured their eleventh Big East regular-season championship, marking their first since 2006, and their eighth Big East Tournament title, which is their first since 2011.
