The Deputy Commissioner of Nicobars, Mr. Amit Kale, IAS, inaugurated the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan 2025 at a perform held on the Community Hall in Perka and Big Lapathy village, Car Nicobar. The marketing campaign, a nationwide initiative aimed toward enhancing agricultural practices and empowering farmers, will run from May 29 to June 12, 2025.

By bringing information, inputs, and innovation to the grassroots, we are bridging the gap between policy and practice. I urge every farmer to actively engage in this journey towards self-reliance and prosperity,” he mentioned.
Mr. Lionald Nicomede, Chairman of the Tribal Council, Car Nicobar, attended because the visitor of honour. He urged native farmers to undertake scientific, Government-supported agricultural practices and counseled the function of KVK and allied departments in delivering important providers to the neighborhood.
Dr. Santosh Kumar, Senior Scientist and Head of ICAR-KVK Nicobar, welcomed the gathering and outlined the marketing campaign’s core aims—spreading consciousness about trendy agricultural applied sciences, selling Government schemes, and inspiring efficient use of Soil Health Cards to make sure balanced fertilizer use and applicable crop choice.
