thirteenth Inter village Canoe Race Championship 2023, was held on April 10 & 11, 2023 at Big Lapathy Beach, Car Nicobar. The Canoe Race Competition was organized by the Nicobar Games & Sports Association, Car Nicobar in coordination with the District Administration, Nicobar District. 

The primary perform was held at Big Lapathy Beach, Car Nicobar. Mr. Hari Kallikkat, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District graced the event because the chief visitor. Mr. Manjit Sheoran, IPS, SP(N), Mr. Piyush Singh, AC (HQ), Mr. Lionald Nicomede, Chairman Tribal Council, Car Nicobar, Mr. Anwar Moosa, Medical Superintendent, BJR Hospital, Car Nicobar have been additionally current and motivated the contributors.

The race lined a distance of three.0 Km from Chukchucha to Kinmai village. In Group A, Kinyuka was declared winner, Tamaloo obtained second place and Small Lapathy third place. In Group B, Kinyuka was declared winner, Chukchucha obtained second place and Small Lapathy third place.

Trophies and prize cash was distributed to the winners by the chief visitor,  Mr. Hari Kallikkat, IAS, Deputy Commissioner and others.

Addressing the contributors, the Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District careworn on the significance of indigenous cultural sports activities in Car Nicobar and talked about that the District Administration will lengthen all assist for the conduct of cultural actions and also will facilitate its extensive publicity.
