Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) coordinated the Voluntary Blood Donation camps which had been organized by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Dollygunj and Unlimited Fitness Club, Garacharma, Port Blair just lately. A complete of 77 items of blood had been donated by voluntary donors. The camp was organized below the steerage of Dr. Subrata Saha, Project Director, A & N AIDS Control Society and Director, State Blood Transfusion Council, A & N Islands.
The Blood Donation camp was facilitated by Dr. Shahina Mustaquim, Deputy Director (BS)/Medical Officer (i/c). The donors had been examined for his or her eligibility to donate blood and had been briefed on numerous elements and significance of blood donation.
The technical group from Blood Bank, G.B. Pant Hospital, Port Blair and A & N AIDS Control Society ensured that the donated blood items had been screened for the blood transmissible illnesses. They additionally examined the donors for eligibility standards. Donor certificates had been additionally distributed to the voluntary donors.
